In the Fog Wins FIPRESCI Award

The International Federation of Film Critics praised film based on Belarusian novel.

The official Jury presided over by Nanni Moretti revealed the award winners of the 65th Cannes Film Festival on May 27, 2012.

The film by Belarus-born director Siarhiej Laznica V Tumane (In the Fog) based on Vasil Bykaus novel did not remain unnoticed and was awarded by The International Federation of Film Critics FIPRESCI award, reports TUT.BY.

The Palm dOr went to Amour directed by Michael Haneke.

This years grand prix was taken by Reality directed by Matteo Garrone, the jurys choice fell on The Angels' Share directed by Ken Loach.

The best directors award will be taken to Mexico by Carlos Reygadas.
